Students from Howenstine High School are searching for Brown Dwarfs in the M34 cluster. They are using IR images from the Spitzer space telescope. Using APT software, theey measure the source intensity of the object in four wavelengths. They graph the results to produce a black body curve. If a bell curve is produced, Weins law is used to measure the temperature of the possible brown dwarf.Homeless Cat.ppt
